These photos were taken this week in Joshua Tree National Park, California. These were live Joshua Trees, but people visiting the park killed them. Due to a lapse in funding associated with the partial government shutdown, park staff has been at a minimum, but unlike the previous government shutdown where closed park gates were some of the most commonly shared images of the shutdown, the US Federal Government chose to keep the parks open with minimal staff.

here’s a picture of a baby cedar waxwing begging for food from a robin. neither of these species are nest parasites, so it’s not possible the cedar waxwing was ‘adopted’. this is essentially the bird version of tapping a random person on the shoulder at the grocery store and going “MOM”

People saying Jack Black’s new YouTube channel is proof he’s part of some “reptilian government” or really anything about him that talks about him being related to anything reptilian is blatant antisemitism. Jack Black is a Jewish man. His mother is an ethnic Jew, his father’s a Jewish convert and he’s a practicing Jew raising his children Jewish.
And anyone who’s going head to head with the antisemites posting that stuff who say it’s “silly alt right conspiracies” or in any way belittles the reptilian stuff without acknowledging it’s antisemitic roots should Absolutely be held accountable for learning about why it’s antisemitic and arguing against it. You’re trivialising things used against Jews to harass and oppress us, and you need to stop, get educated, and care about Jews.
